Sonja represents clients in the areas of estate planning matters and probate law. Sonja strongly believes in the mission of educating families so they can make the best decision for their family. She strives to create lifelong relationships with her clients by providing legal services that focus on her clients, their families and their goals.
Sonja earned a bachelor of arts degree from Kalamazoo College with a major in biology and her juris doctor from Wayne State University Law School. In 2009, Sonja founded Allyn Markwart PLC, and in 2014, she created Regent Law, PC.
Sonja is an active member of Network Connections, a Business Networking International Chapter located in Fenton, MI. Additionally, Sonja serves on the Synod Council for the Southeast Michigan Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Attorneys Association, and serves on the board of Family Promise of Genesee County. In her free time, Sonja loves spending time with her family, traveling and reading as many books as she can. Her favorite activity is biking with her extended family, so if you see a group of 13 people on bicycles, give her wave!

Liesl Schick
Liesl is our administrative assistant extraordinaire! Liesl has a vast background from marketing, occupational therapy, and learning coach, to processing incoming materials at the library and brings this knowledge and experience to Regent Law. Liesl joined the team in 2021.
Liesl is married to Matt and has 4 amazing kids. Three of her kids are in the military. We are grateful for their service and know that she loves to travel to visit them.
Liesl loves to read, and has an incredible library. She also enjoys spending time outside any chance she gets. If you want to get in her good side, bring her a Bavarian pretzel!
